Adjusting A Grohe Shower Flow

A Grohe shower faucet has an adjustment that sets the amount of hot water that will flow through the shower head. This is the only setting you can make on the shower without adjusting your own home water flow rates. Setting the limit stop inside the mixing hub will limit how far the handle turns, thus reducing the hot water flow to your shower.

Instructions

1. Turn on your water if the water is not already on.

2. Take out the set screw in the Grohe's handle with an Allen wrench. Take off the handle by sliding it off the faucet. The set screw in a Grohe shower handle is in the base of the handle, closet to the faucet body.

3. Take off the shower's round base plate by unscrewing the screws and pulling it off the faucet. Pull the cover off the cartridge. Remove the adapter under the cover.

4. Pop the limit stop off the top of the cartridge stem. This part is right below the handle and it is ring-shaped. Put the adapter back on the cartridge stem.

5. Rotate the adapter to turn on your hot water. Wait two to three minutes and set the hot water at the temperature you prefer. Take note of where the tab on the adapter is pointing. Slide the adapter off and place the limit stop on with the notch set to where the adapter tab was pointing.

6. Place the adapter and cover on the faucet. Put the faucet's handle on the adapter and tighten the set screw.
