Make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jello Shots

Even a timid drinker may enjoy the sweet taste of a delicious jello shot.

When throwing a party you're sure to have guests with different tastes to please not only for the food you serve but the alcohol available. Some prefer to have straight liquor, while others mix theirs with juice or soda. Jello shots are a fruity way to make alcoholic treats for friends and family members at your gathering. You can make them in a variety of flavors including blueberry, cherry, banana, kiwi and strawberry. Make your jello shots taste even sweeter by adding some chocolate to the top.

Instructions

1. Pour the contents of your strawberry gelatin packet in a mixing bowl.

2. Add 1 cup of boiling water to the gelatin powder.

3. Add a cup of your alcohol of choice. Two popular types are vodka or rum. You can adjust the amount here based on how strong you want the shots to be. If you add more than 1 cup, reduce the water from the previous step. If you reduce the amount of alcohol added, replace with excess water.

4. Mix the powdered gelatin, alcohol, and water until the powder is completely dissolved.

5. Use a turkey baster to fill small cups with jello almost to the top. Leave a little excess space at the top for the chocolate topping.

6. Refrigerate the jello shots until they turn solid. Depending on your refrigerator's settings, this can take from four to six hours. Plan ahead when making them for a party and allow plenty of time for the liquid to turn solid.

7. Squirt a small drop of chocolate syrup on top of the shots just before serving for chocolate covered strawberry jello shots.
