Size For Cycling Leg Warmers

Cycling leg warmers are convenient for cycling in cold weather.

Cycling leg warmers are worn during cold or chilly weather conditions to help keep the legs warm while riding a bike. Whether you need to replace your current leg warmers or want to purchase your first pair, selecting the correct size will prevent slipping or buying leg warmers that are too tight. The warmers are designed to fit snugly, but they should not be uncomfortably tight.

Instructions

1. Measure body height. Measure height in inches and obtain the total body height in either inches or feet and inches. Many leg warmer sizes are partly determined by the total height of the body.

2. Measure around the thickest part of the thigh. The circumference of the thigh is the key measurement for many cycling leg warmer companies.

3. Measure the inseam of the leg. The inseam is the inner leg from the joint to the ankle, where a pair of pants would have a seam.

4. Step on a scale and get body weight measurements in pounds. While most sizing charts are determined by only the measurements, some also use weight measurements. This is only necessary if the sizing chart has a weight measurement range.

5. Match up your measurements with the sizing chart from the company you want to purchase from. The sizing chart will list a range for leg circumference, which usually starts around 18 inches, a measurement for an inseam and a measurement for height. Some will also have weight measurements on the chart. Sizing charts differ for each company.
