Easily Make Pectin

Without pectin, your homemade jam won't set.

Pectin is a water-soluble substance that's made up of carbohydrates. It can be used in baking to make homemade jams and jellies. You can buy pectin in liquid form from baking departments in shops, but it can be far more rewarding, and tasty to create your own. Baking your own pectin is easy to do and can be made from a large variety of fruit. This is because pectin is a naturally occurring substance found in most ripe fruits and vegetables.
