Use The George Foreman Grill G5 For Pork Chops

Pork chops cook in a matter of minutes on the George Foreman grill.

George Foreman's model G5 countertop appliance has an 84-square inch grilling surface. It comes with five removable grill plates, which includes two waffle plates, two ribbed grill plates and a baking plate. When cooking pork chops use the grill plates, and wipe them down with a damp cloth before pre-heating the appliance, to remove any dust that may have accumulated while storing. Set the grill up on a sturdy surface, such as a kitchen counter, near an electrical outlet. Don't leave the grill unattended while in use.

Instructions

1. Close the lid of the appliance and plug it into an electric outlet.

2. Turn the temperature to high. Two lights turn on, a red and green light. When the green light goes out, the grill is ready.

3. Slide the grease tray under the front of the grill to catch any grease.

4. Open the lid and set the pork chops in a single layer on the bottom grill. Do this after the green light turns off.

5. Close the lid. Pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick will take about 6 to 7 minutes to cook. Pork center cut chops, 1/2 inch thick will take about 3 or 4 minutes to cook. Cook on high.

6. Turn the dial to off and unplug the appliance. Open the lid using a potholder. Insert a meat thermometer into the meat to test for doneness. The internal temperature of pork should be 160 degrees F. Cook for an additional minute if undercooked, or until it reaches the desired temperature.
