Sangria Punch

Serve sangria in a party pitcher.

If you are looking for a sweet drink recipe to celebrate the hot summer season, cool off with the flavor of fresh fruit. According to the Andalucia Travel Guide, sangria punch is Spain's most famous drink. If you are having a Spanish themed party, this drink should be included on the menu. With some advanced planning, you can demonstrate your personal creativity by serving this wine-based drink with lots of fruit and iced orange juice.

Instructions

1. Pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar into a medium saucepan. Set the burner on your stove-top to medium-high heat. Allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes.

2. Remove the pan from the burner and turn off the heat. Wait 3 minutes for the syrup to cool.

3. Slice pieces of the peach and discard the pit. Cut the limes, lemons and oranges into slices.

4. Carve the core out of the pineapple and shave off the pineapple rinds. Dice the pineapple.

5. Pour 1/2 cup of the syrup you prepared into the jar and then put the sliced fresh fruit into the jar.

7. Unscrew the lid from the jar and add the wine, orange liqueur, Grand Marnier, vodka and rum.

8. Pour 2 cups of orange juice into an ice tray and freeze it into ice cubes. Add 2 cups of pineapple juice to the jar.

9. Mix your punch with the large spoon and seal the jar with its lid. Place the jar in your refrigerator and wait 3 days.

11. Add club soda to the pitcher until it is full. Pour the sangria punch into glasses and serve.
