Make Crunchy Seasoned Baked Wedge Fries

Use sweet potatoes for a different take on the baked wedge.

Make your own crunchy seasoned potato wedges at home for a lot fewer calories and a lot more taste. You will soon forget about the greasy, fattening french fries you get at fast food places.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375 F. After washing your potatoes, use a paring knife to cut them into 1-inch-sized chunks. The smaller the chunks (or wedges), the more crispy they will get while they are baking in the oven. Place these chunks in a bowl.

2. Sprinkle a few drops of oil and the garlic powder and seasoning over the wedges. Salt and pepper to taste. Toss well.

3. Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil (helps with clean-up afterwards). Pour about 1 to 2 tbsp. olive oil on the baking sheet, enough that it forms a thin layer over the entire baking sheet.

4. Spread the wedges evenly on the baking sheet, so they aren't on top of each other.

5. Bake the wedges for at least 15 minutes. You can keep checking on them to track their crispiness. The browner the edges, the more crispy your wedges will be! Flip once halfway through.
