Make Asian Soy Sauce Chicken

If you like easy-to-make chicken and Asian food, this recipe is for you. Asian soy sauce chicken is not only moist and tender, the gravy is also delicious over steamed rice. Best of all, the ingredients are easily obtainable, and the process to make it is so simple.

Instructions

1. Rinse the chicken thighs clean. Keep the skin and bone intact.

2. Peel the ginger and slice into 4 or 5 pieces. Crush the garlic with the handle of a knife. Set everything aside.

3. Get a big pot that can fit 5 pounds of chicken thighs. A 5-quart pot should work.

4. Put the pot on the stove top and turn on medium heat. Put in all the ingredients.

5. Stir with a ladle until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

6. Turn the heat to high and let the mixture boil for 3 minutes. Then cover the pot with a lid and reduce to low heat.

7. Simmer for about 45 minutes until the chicken is cooked and tender. You may simmer for an additional 15 minutes if you like the chicken to be flaky and falling off the bone.

8. Turn off the heat and transfer the chicken on to a big plate. Remove the skin and bones from the chicken one at a time. Put the chicken meat in a serving bowl.

9. Drain the gravy through a fat separator. Discard the fat and pour the gravy into the serving bowl where the chicken is placed.

10. Serve over steamed white rice.
