Cook With Absolut Peppar Vodka

Use Absolut Peppar Vodka to add a spicy kick to your recipes.

When most people think of Absolut Peppar Vodka, they think of a Bloody Mary cocktail, because the peppery flavor of the vodka adds a spicy kick to this popular drink. Absolut Peppar Vodka can spice up more than mixed drinks, however. You can add this fiery beverage to pasta sauce or use it for soaking cherry tomatoes to create spicy and flavorful dishes that will wow your dinner guests. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

Pasta With Absolut Peppar Vodka Sauce

1. Penne pasta is a smart choice for this dish.

Cook the pasta until it is al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain it, return it to the pot and cover the pot to keep the pasta warm.

2. Saut the shallots and garlic in a skillet or saut pan until soft, about 2 minutes.

3. Add the tomatoes and red pepper flakes and saut until thickened, 4 to 5 minutes.

4. Add the Absolut Peppar Vodka and cook until the mixture is reduced to about about 3 to 4 tbsp., about 3 minutes.

5. Add the cream and cook until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Add the pasta to the sauce and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

7. Transfer the pasta into a serving bowl.

8. Wash the tomatoes and then poke five or six holes in each of them with a bamboo skewer or toothpick.

9. Place the tomatoes in a shallow bowl.

10. Pour the Absolut Peppar Vodka over the tomatoes, cover and let stand.

11. Toss the tomatoes occasionally, every one to two hours, or until soaked to desired taste.

12. Stir together the salt and pepper in a small bowl.

13. Serve the tomatoes with the salt and pepper mixture on the side for dipping, or sprinkle the salt and pepper over the tomatoes before serving.
