We love Halloween. This creepy, ghoulish punch has been a hit at many a Halloween party. Make sure you have enough supplies on hand for the 2nd and 3rd bowls.
Instructions
1. An hour or so before your event, allow the sherbert to soften. Don't let it melt into a soupy mix. Spoon the sherbert into a large bowl. We like our punch to have a bright green ghoulish hue, so I add green food coloring. Mash and stir until the sherbert has a fairly consistent coloring.
2. Now it is time to add the gruesome factor to the ghoulish punch. Dump your supply of gummy worms into the green sherbert. Mix and mash until the worms are evenly dispersed through the green sherbert. Store your ghoulish glob in the freezer until it is party time.
3. Right before your guests are due to arrive, remove the ghoulish sherbert from the freezer. Allow it to soften as you prepare the red liquid in which the ghoulish goop with float. Pour the red fruit punch into your punch bowl until it is approximately 1/2 full. Add lemon-lime soda to fill the bowl to about 3/4 full. Carefully remove the ghoulish green sherbert from the container. The presentation of the punch is best if the sherbert is in one big blob.
4. Place your ghoulish punch in a place of honor where your guests can observe the worms emerging from the foam as the ghoulish green sherbert melts. When ladling the punch into glasses, be sure each guest gets a juicy worm adorning their cup.
