Drink Ready Made Protein Shakes On Atkins

Going to work every day with a hamburger, some deviled eggs and a head of lettuce can get tedious over time. If there is one thing Atkins is notorious for it is curbing hunger. When you are truly not hungry for meat, but you know you have to eat, a low carb ready made shake can hit the spot. The trouble is, these shakes may be low in carbs but they are not right for Atkins on their own.

Instructions

1. Prepare the ready made protein shake. The low carb protein shake will come in either a can or a box. Open the container and pour the entire shake into the shaker. The best protein shaker is the one with the aggregator in the top of the container.

2. Add the Atkins secret ingredient. The premise of Atkins is to increase fat and protein and decrease carbs. This pushes the body into ketosis and the body uses fat instead of carbohydrates for fuel. The common high protein, low carb ready made shake will not have enough fat to fit into the Atkins plan. Into the shaker you will need to add two to three tablespoons of vegetable oil.

3. Shake vigorously to mix. This is where the aggregator comes in handy. Place the top back on the shaker and shake until the vegetable oil mixes into the ready made protein shake.

4. Add the straw and enjoy. The straw is essential to drink the shake and notice the oil less than you would if you were drinking the shake straight from the edge of the container.
