Coffee Canister Vac Directions

The Coffee Bean Vac, also commonly known as the Coffee Canister Vac, is a container that provides vacuum-sealed storage of about 1 lb. of coffee or other foodstuffs. The canister features a battery-operated vacuum pump and a silicone lid gasket to create a seal that helps prevent oxygen and moisture from damaging the quality of your coffee or food. Once you set up the unit, vacuum sealing the inner canister container should only take about a minute and a half.

Instructions

1. Turn your Coffee Canister Vac upside down.

2. Rotate the battery cover located at the bottom of the unit counterclockwise. Remove the cover and set it aside.

3. Insert four AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment making sure the terminals on the batteries match the negative and positive polarity marks inside the compartment.

4. Return the cover back to the bottom and turn it clockwise. If done correctly, the arrow on the cover should now line up with the large arrow on the bottom of the unit.

5. Flip up the lid handle bar and lower the hook to unlock the lid. Flip open the lid and pour your coffee beans, grounds or other foodstuff, such as candy, nuts or cereal, into the container, leaving 1/4-inch of empty space below the rim.

6. Lower the lid, attach the hook to the air-release lever, and then pull down the handle to lock the lid. If done correctly, the vacuum pump should turn on automatically. When the indicator button drops completely, the unit is sealed.

7. Store the Coffee Canister Vac as desired. When you're ready to use the foodstuff you vacuum sealed inside, flip up the lid handle, detach the hook, lower the handle and wait for the vacuum indicator button to rise completely. After the button rises, lift up the lid.
