Make Cranberry Grape Salad

Cranberries, grapes, marshmallows, and whipped cream make a lovely fresh fruit salad.

This treat is a tradition at my family's Thanksgiving celebrations. We eat it as a fruit salad, at the same time as the rest of the meal, before the real desserts come out! It makes a slightly sweet serving of your recommended daily fruit. :) Or, if you decide to eat it after a meal, it makes a light, fresh, cold dessert.

Instructions

1. Mash one pound of fresh cranberries. (If you do not have a good mashing utensil, try chopping up the berries in a blender or food processor.)

2. Combine cranberries and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Let stand overnight.

3. Add remaining ingredients.

4. Whip the whipping cream with an electric mixer. Or, if you're in a hurry, you can use whipped topping such as Cool Whip. Real cream is much nicer and less sweet, but it might take an extra minute to prepare.

Mix all of the ingredients well.

5. Serve and enjoy!
