Make Natural Soda Pop Corn Syrup Free

Allow kids to create their own soda pop.

Making natural soda pops is easy by replacing corn syrup and artificial dyes with natural ingredients like fruit. Select fruit juices without corn syrup or citric acid or make your own with a juicer. Kids enjoy creating their own soda pops. Encourage them by setting up a variety of fruit juices and letting them experiment. Allow them to blend two or more juices together to come up with their own special soda pop.

Instructions

Fruit Juice

1. Pour 1/4 cup of juice in a glass.

2. Add carbonated or seltzer water.

3. Stir to blend thoroughly.

4. Add ice if desired and drink.

Fresh Fruit

5. Purchase fresh ripe fruit such as grapes, apples, pears or watermelon. Choose fruit that is ripe and ready to eat and avoid fruit that is overly ripe and mushy.

6. Peel any waxed fruit and fruit with skins such as pineapples, oranges and kiwis.

7. Cut up fruit such as watermelon, apples and pears into bite size pieces. Remove apple and papaya seeds but grape and watermelon seeds may be left. Remove any large pits in fruits like peaches.

8. Follow your juicer's directions to create fresh juice.

9. Add carbonated or seltzer water. Stir to blend thoroughly. Add ice if desired and drink to enjoy.
