Velveeta Mac & Cheese Instructions

Macaroni and cheese can be served as a side dish.

Velveeta Mac and Cheese is a family-friendly dish that can be prepared in less than 20 minutes. This dish can be served as a side dish or even the main course. When preparing Velveeta Mac and Cheese, it is important to follow the directions so you have fully cooked pasta that will absorb the cheese sauce and have the creamy texture Velveeta is known for.

Instructions

1. Fill a medium saucepan about three-quarters full of water and place it on the stove top on medium-high heat until the water reaches a boiling point.

2. Open the box of Velveeta Mac and Cheese. Remove the Velveeta cheese packet and set aside. Slowly pour the noodles from the box into the water. Stir with a spoon to break up noodles so they do not stick together during the cooking process.

3. Cook the pasta for eight to 10 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through fully. Stir the pasta occasionally through the cooking process to ensure the noodles cook evenly. Turn off the heat from the stove and use a pot holder to carry the water and noodles to the sink.

4. Place a colander in the sink and carefully pour the noodles and water into it. Shake the colander to ensure water has drained completely.

5. Place a potholder on your counter top or use a heat-safe cutting board to place your pot down. Add the noodles back into the pot.

6. Use scissors to cut open the Velveeta cheese packet. Squeeze out the cheese by running your fingers from the back of the packet down to the cut opening. Expel all of the cheese and throw away the packaging.

7. Use a spoon to stir the cheese mixture into the noodles. Stir completely until each noodle is coated in the cheese sauce. Serve hot.

8. Add broccoli, cooked meats or other spices to your Velveeta Mac and Cheese to change up the flavor profile, or serve as is.
