Fill Plastic Champagne Glasses

Keep your glass tilted at an angle to get optimal bubbles in your champagne.

If you are having a large amount of people over to toast the New Year or the bride and groom, plastic champagne glasses offer an economical alternative to purchasing or renting glass flutes. Using plastic instead of glass will not affect the taste of the champagne, but they are more prone to tipping over than their heavier glass counterparts. Pouring champagne down the side of your plastic glasses rather than into the middle of the glass will produce approximately 8 percent more fizz for your guests to enjoy.

Instructions

1. Chill your champagne in the refrigerator or an ice bucket before pouring.

2. Tilt your plastic champagne glass to approximately a 30-degree angle.

3. Pour the champagne slowly down the side of the glass, being careful to avoid overfilling the glass or allowing the champagne to fizz out of the glass.

4. Serve champagne immediately after pouring for best taste and presentation.
