What Does One Dip In A Chocolate Fountain

A Chocolate Fountain

Chocolate fountains are often the rage of a big party or function. They're a magnet to crowds looking for a bit of decadent and entertaining fun. The simple answer to what to dip in a chocolate fountain is--almost anything. There are a limitless number of food ideas which are well-suited to taking the chocolate plunge.

Fruit

Chop fruits into bite-size cubes and spear with bamboo shoots. Apples, oranges, pears, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, mango, pineapple and kiwi are just a few fruits that taste succulent with a coating of chocolate. Use whole pitted cherries, grapes and strawberries, too.

Nuts

A bit more difficult to skewer, nuts nonetheless are a natural accompaniment to chocolate. Consider larger varieties like Brazil nuts, nuts clustered with caramel or peanut brittle. Wedges of fresh coconut also go well with a chocolate dip.

Healthy Treats

Pump up the volume on those trail mix, granola and breakfast bars by giving them a bath in chocolate. Rice Krispies treats are also great for fountains.

Cookies and Cakes

Cookies, cakes, brownies and doughnuts all lend themselves well to a dip in a chocolate fountain. Choose firm cakes and hard cookies to avoid crumbs and opt for doughnut wholes for their perfectly suited size.

Ice Cream

Ice cream sandwiches and bonbons can make a quick dip into chocolaty goodness. Using a ladle may make the dipping process less messy, however.
