Boiled Boneless Chicken Directions

Boil boneless chicken to use in a variety of dishes.


Boil boneless chicken to shred and use in a variety of recipes that call for shredded chicken. While most recipes specify using a boned chicken piece or whole chicken, boiling directions only vary slightly when using boneless chicken. The cooking time is actually reduced, making for a quick meal option. Otherwise you follow the same basic instructions for boiling a chicken or chicken pieces.


Instructions








1. Fill a pan about half full with broth or water.


2. Place the pan on a stove burner while turning the heat to medium high.


3. Wait for the liquid to boil.


4. Add the boneless chicken to the boiling liquid.


5. Wait for the liquid to return to a boil before turning down the heat so it comes to a simmer.


6. Cook the boneless chicken for about 10 minutes or until the breasts have no pink in the center.


7. Remove the chicken from the liquid and place it in a bowl.


8. Pierce the chicken with two forks, pulling apart the meat to make shredded chicken for a variety of dishes including enchiladas, soups, tacos and chicken salad.
