Make Shredded Beef In A Slow Cooker

Add a little shredded beef to your tacos or burritos.


Shredded beef can be used in tacos, sandwiches or just by itself. Preparing shredded beef in a slow cooker creates a tender meat that can be spiced up or toned down. Slow cookers also it make it easy to prepare your shredded beef.


Instructions


1. Make slits in the roast with a sharp knife and place pieces of the garlic cloves into the slits.


2. Pour olive oil into a large skillet to heat. You will add your meat to this later.


3. Mix together all of the dried spices in a separate bowl until they are completely combined.


4. Rub the meat with the spice mixture using your fingers.








5. Sear both sides of the meat by placing the chuck roast in the hot oil on the skillet. Set the meat aside but leave the pan hot.


6. Pour the beef stock into the skillet and stir, scraping the bottom of the pan for any browned bits.


7. Mix tomato paste and minced chipotle peppers into the beef broth liquid, bringing the sauce to a boil. Boil until the mixture becomes thickened.


8. Take another bowl and stir together beer and Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and liquid smoke ingredients.


9. Put the roast into the slow-cooker and sprinkle the diced onion and minced garlic on top of the roast.


10. Pour the cooked liquid ingredients over the roast, followed by the liquid mixture that was heated on the skillet.


11. Turn the slow cooker to low heat and let it sit for 10 hours.
