Make Eggs In A Frame

There are few treats quite like eggs in a frame. This is a breakfast treat that consists of fried eggs cooked in frames made of buttered toast. This breakfast is quick and easy to prepare on busy mornings. It makes a healthy breakfast for kids to eat before school since it contains both a protein and a carbohydrate. Add some fresh fruit or juice for a complete, balanced meal that will give kids the energy they need to get through the school morning.

Instructions

1. Butter both sides of a piece of bread.

2. Cut a hole in the center of the bread with a biscuit cutter.

3. Melt a tablespoon of butter in the frying pan on medium to high heat. Wait for the pan to be sizzling hot.

4. Place the cut bread, called the frame, in the pan. Crack an egg and fill the center hole with the raw egg.

5. Put the remaining piece of bread (the hole that was cut out of the slice), in the pan to toast next to the Egg in a Frame.

6. When the egg white has turned white and the yoke has started to firm, gently flip the Egg in a Frame with a metal spatula. Flip the toasted hole as well.

7. Cook until the yolk is completely firm.

8. Remove from the pan and serve with salt and pepper.
