Use Cupcake Liners

You can use paper cupcake liners in any type of cupcake or muffin pan. Bakers usually put them in baking tins, but they do fit in silicone pans as well. Cupcake liners add a special flourish to baked goods and make it easier to remove your goodies from the pan.

Instructions

1. Plan ahead by deciding how many cupcakes your recipe yields. Count out the number of liners needed.

2. Purchase the type of paper cupcake liners you like best. They are available in plain colors, assorted graphic designs and festive, themed designs. Pick the shape that fits your pan-usually round or maybe heart-shaped.

3. Place one liner in each cup in the tray. Sometimes paper liners stick together and you can end up with two or more liners in one cup. Fan the edge of the paper liner with your finger to make sure you're holding only one liner.

4. Tap the tray on the counter to make sure the cupcake liners are securely in place. Any liners sitting unevenly in the pan may cause a lopsided cupcake.

5. Coat the paper liners with nonstick cooking spray to make them easier to peel off of the muffin or cupcake. Fill each lined cup with the same amount of batter.
