Make a custom pizza box for felt play pizza pieces.
Classic children's toys live on year after year, and felt play toys are among the most enduring of these playthings. Cut out pieces of felt in a variety of shapes and allow your children to use their imaginations to build an endless series of designs. Pizza felt play is a fun variety for children to use and simple for parents to make. After you create a set of felt pizza pieces, make a custom pizza box for your children to store the parts.
Instructions
1. Open up the top and bottom halves of the shirt box and set them on the table in front of you with the longer edges running vertically.
2. Create a flap in the box top. Cut the top right corner from the box opening all the way down to the box top surface. Cut the bottom right corner in the same manner. You will now have a box top with a loose flap on the right side.
3. Create a flap in the box bottom in the same manner. Place the box top on the box bottom with the flaps overlapping.
4. Tape the boxes together by placing a strip of tape along the long edge of the top flap where it overlaps the bottom flap. When you take the top off the box, you now have a connected flap between the two box halves.
5. Close the box and use markers to decorate your pizza box. Use your child's name in the name of the pizza restaurant and draw pizza pictures on the top.
