Quickest Way To Make Beef Jerky

You can use brisket or filet steak to make beef jerky

Making beef jerky at home is easy. The marinating and drying of the beef is what takes the longest, as the beef requires 24 hours in the marinade and between four and six hours in the oven, but preparation beforehand can be done very quickly. Beef jerky is great as a snack as well as being a good ingredient for cooking.

Instructions

1. Trim all the fat off the beef.

2. Slice as thinly as possible with a sharp knife.

3. Add all the ingredients into the container and mix thoroughly.

4. Add the beef into the marinade and cover completely with the liquid.

5. Put the lid on the container and refrigerate for 24 hours, giving it a shake every few hours.

6. Place a large tray on the bottom rack of the oven and cover with foil as the meat will drip as it dries out. Curl the sides of the foil up to catch all the liquid and prevent a mess on the tray. Place beef across the racks above and turn oven to a low setting, no higher than 180 degrees.

7. Turn the beef over when you notice it has stopped dripping. The beef should be in the oven for up to six hours. Open the oven door for the last hour or so to prevent cooking. When the meat is no longer soft and can be broken up into bits it is ready.
