Substitute Vanilla Yogurt For Miracle Whip

Miracle Whip is a seasoned mayonnaise-like product that is ideal for sandwiches, dressings and many other recipes. If you are looking to reduce the fat or calorie content in a dish that typically calls for Miracle Whip, substitute some or all of the Miracle Whip with vanilla yogurt for a healthier alternative without sacrificing texture in the finished product.

Instructions

1. Identify the total amount of Miracle Whip required in the recipe.

2. Determine if you want to replace all the Miracle Whip or retain some in the recipe for flavor. Replace as little as half or as much as all of the Miracle Whip, substituting the amount of Miracle Whip omitted with an equal amount of yogurt. Select a low-fat form of vanilla yogurt to reduce the fat and calorie content of your recipe.

3. Mix 1 tbsp. of cornstarch or flour into each cup of room temperature yogurt before stirring it into hot recipes to reduce the separation and curdling risk.
