Make A Mango Mojito

Mango Mojito Recipe

A Mango Mojito is a trendy new drink, served at several restaurants and nightclubs, and is a fantastic twist on a traditional Mojito. While ready to use mix is widely available, a Mango Mojito made from scratch tastes much better and really is not difficult to mix. Here's make a fantastic made from scratch Mango Mojito.

Instructions

1. Chop your mint leaves coarsely, you don't want them totally shredded for your Mango Mojito, but cut enough to fully release mint flavor when muddled. Place mint leaves in bottom of glass tumbler, or mortar.

2. Add limes and mango puree, and top with simple syrup. If you prefer, you may just use a tsp of superfine sugar. Add Bacardi Limon on top. Using either a pestle or the handle end of a sturdy utensil, mash together Mango Mojito ingredients well. If using a mortar and pestle, carefully scrape out all ingredients into a glass tumbler at this point.

3. Add ice to your Mango Mojito mix, then fill with club soda. Pour the Mango Mojito back and forth between two tumblers until it is well mixed, being careful to not shake too hard. Shaking too hard can release all the carbonation from the club soda. Set aside.

4. Place about a quarter cup of granulated sugar on a plate. Rub a slice of lime around rim of your cocktail glass, being sure to coat the rim with lime juice. Dip rim of glass in sugar. Tap glass to remove excess sugar, and carefully pour your home made Mango Mojito into sugar frosted glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime. Enjoy!
