Wine tasting events typically recomend palette cleansing between each wine.
At a wine or beer tasting event, or an evening of fine dining, it is preferable to cleanse your palette in between each new flavor you taste. According to Sidney Wilfred Mintz, author of "Tasting Food, Tasting Freedom," cleansing your palette allows you to fully appreciate the flavors of each new food or drink you try. Many restaurants or wine tasting events offer palette-cleansing options to ensure you get the most from each flavor. However, approaching the event with the knowledge of use these aids will save embarrassment and enhance your experience.
Instructions
