Make A Plum Pie

Use this recipe for plum pie for large gatherings because it makes two pies. Plum pies date back to the early 15th century. With a few ingredients and a little time, you can make delicious plum pies. Serve warm plum pies with ice cream for a more traditional dessert. Read on to learn more.








Instructions


1. Pour the juice from the plum into a pan.


2. Mix the sugar and cornstarch. Cook on the stove until the mix thickens.


3. Remove the seeds from the plums. Drop the plums into the cooked juice mixture.


4. Roll out the pie crust. Use a rolling pin to make it smooth.


5. Butter the pie pans. Place two of the crusts into the pie pans. Cut the third crust into long strips.


6. Split the plum mix between the two crusts. Criss-cross the strips across the top of the pies creating a lattice look.


7. Cut off any crust that is hanging over the edge. Brush butter on the top of the pie crusts. Sprinkle sugar on the top of the plum pies.


8. Bake the pies at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until cooked through.


9. Add whipped topping, cut and serve.
