Re Heat Fried Foods And Make It Taste Great

Fried foods are crispy and fluffy when they are fresh, but they can be difficult to reheat without becoming soggy and chewy. For example, microwave ovens heat up the water molecules in the food, which generates steam and ruins the texture and flavor of fried foods. The best way to reheat fried foods and make them taste great is to reheat with dry heat, such as in an oven.

Instructions

1. Put the rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Spray the baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. The cooking spray will prevent the food from sticking and provides a small amount of oil to refresh the crisp.

3. Arrange the food on the baking sheet with approximately 1/2 inch of space between each piece. If you are reheating small foods, such as French fries, you can arrange them closer together just make sure they are not touching.

4. Spray the top of the food with the nonstick cooking spray.

5. Heat the food in the oven for 15 to 30 minutes. Use the tongs to turn it over at the halfway mark to crisp both sides. The food is done when both sides are crisp and the center is hot.

6. Transfer the food to a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
