Make A Raspberry Margarita

Margaritas are an eternal favorite and one of the most popular cocktails of all time. Now and then, everyone craves change, even when it comes to the classics. The addition of raspberry livens things up, making this new version of the margarita a fruity sensation.

Instructions

1. Measure and pour five ounces of sweet and sour mix, two ounces of tequila, one ounce of triple sec and one ounce of raspberry liqueur into a cocktail shaker filled with two cups of ice cubes.

2. Shake vigorously until the shaker begins to frost on the outside. It is important not to shake too sparingly, as the shaking mixes the ingredients with the melting ice, slightly diluting the strength.

3. Moisten the rim of the margarita glass by rubbing the lime wedge around it. Pour kosher salt onto a plate. Dip the moistened glass rim into the salt, twisting the glass in the salt to coat the rim. You can also dip the glass in specialty cocktail sugars instead.

4. Place a few ice cubes in the glass, then strain the liquid from the shaker over the ice. Garnish the finished raspberry margarita with a sliced lime wedge or wheel.
