Make A Chopped Salad

Add tomatoes to your salad.

Chopped salads come in many varieties, but all offer filling, healthy options as side dishes or meals. The World's Healthiest Foods website suggests using Romaine lettuce because it not only adds a variety of texture to your salad, but also provides plenty of nutrients, including plenty of vitamins A, C and K.

Instructions

1. Cook the bacon and let it sit on a paper towel to drain the grease.

2. Boil the egg in a pot of water for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool and chop it up into cubes or slices, whichever you prefer.

3. Wash and dry lettuce as best you can. Chop the lettuce into bite-size pieces and put it in a large bowl.

4. Cut the apple into bite-size cubes and place on top of the lettuce.

5. Add the egg to the salad.

6. Wash the tomatoes and place some into the salad.

7. Chop or crumble the bacon into small pieces and sprinkle onto the salad.

8. Add a salad dressing of your choice, toss and serve.
