Make Gummy Shot Glasses

Gummy shot glasses are edible containers that hold shots of liquor. Make these amusing holders for your next gathering as an entertaining party favor, or pair them with complementing alcohols, such as vodka. With just a couple of items, you can make your own gummy shot glasses out of your favorite gummy candy.

Instructions

1. Separate your gummy candy by color, if applicable, so that you do not mix opposite shades, such as red and green, and create muddy-hued shot glasses as a result. For example, if you want to make yellow shot glasses, keep all pieces of yellow candy together.

2. Place 16 oz of gummy candy (enough for four glasses) in a microwave-safe bowl and heat this in the microwave for 1 minute, 20 seconds until the substance melts. Repeat this heating step for any other colors of candy and adjust the quantity, if needed, to fill the number of glasses you are making.

3. Pour the liquefied candy mixture into a silicone shot glass mold, such as Cool Shooters Ice Shot Glass Maker, so that it fills each container to the top. Tap the bottom of the mold with your finger to make sure the candy levels out at the top.

4. Place the mold in the freezer and leave it in there for one to two hours. When finished, remove the mold and turn the silicone inside out to free the gummy glasses by pulling them out. You can now fill your shot glasses with liquor, or opt to keep them in a container in the freezer until you want to pull them out again.
