Grow Jalapeno In The Aero Garden

Grow Jalapeno in the Aero Garden

Growing jalapeno peppers in your AeroGarden is a great way to spice up your gardening. You can purchase seed kits from AeroGarden that contain jalapeno pepper seeds or you can use store-bought seeds. If you want to grow jalapeno peppers with other vegetables or herbs, be sure they have the same water and sun requirements. Unlike other types of container gardening, your jalapeno peppers won't be planted in soil. AeroGarden works by suspending plant roots in air and assisting growth via fluorescent light.

Instructions

1. Remove your AeroGarden from its package and find a suitable location. All you need to get started with an AeroGarden is an electrical outlet close by. For assembly, you'll need to insert the light bulbs into and attach the light post to the base.

2. Plug in your AeroGarden and ensure that the light works. Fill the water basin up to the fill line, which is clearly marked on the side of your AeroGarden. Add the nutrient packet as directed.

3. Remove your seeds from the seed kit or open your packet of jalapeno seeds. If you're planting only jalapeno seeds, you can fill all of the available slots with jalapeno seeds. If you are combining different types of seeds, place jalapeno seeds to one side so that heavy peppers don't disturb other plant growth.

4. Raise the arm on the lamp post as seeds germinate and plants grow taller.

5. Check the water level regularly and add additional water as needed. Don't rely on the water level indicator to inform you when the plants need water. Add additional nutrient tablets every two weeks.
