Make Paleo Pancakes

Learn make flourless pancakes for your paleolithic diet.

The majority of pancakes that are served at the breakfast table are unhealthy options. They are loaded with refined carbohydrates, in the form of white flour, and are typically topped with sugar-laden syrups and whipped cream. Pancakes do not have to be unhealthy. By using a recipe that omits refined carbohydrates and eliminates the added sugars of the syrup and whipped cream, you can enjoy a healthy serving of paleo pancakes in the morning.

Instructions

1. Cut two bananas into small pieces and place them in the blender along with one heaping spoonful of almond butter. Add one egg into the blender and mix until it reaches a smooth consistency.

2. Set your electric griddle or skillet to 300 F. If it is not a nonstick surface, lightly spray the cooking spray onto the surface.

3. Pour the batter onto the skillet. Make the pancakes around 2 inches in diameter. If they get too large, they are hard to flip over.

4. Cook them for around 60 seconds on each side. Use a spatula to turn them.

5. Place the paleo pancakes on a plate after they are cooked through.

6. Pour 1 cup of fresh blueberries on top if desired.
