Drink A Margarita

Margaritas are often served in deep or wide glasses.

There's nothing quite like enjoying a pitcher of margaritas with friends. Whether they are frozen or over ice, simply throwing back the beverage prohibits you from enjoying the drink. The amount of alcohol the margarita contains depends on the recipe. Only drink an amount you can handle and do not drive after consuming the drink. Margaritas come in a variety of flavors, from mango-strawberry to orange-pineapple. Many bartenders rub a ring of salt around the top of the glass. You can use sugar if you prefer.

Instructions

Frozen Margarita

1. Pick up the glass carefully. Bring it to your lips and take a small drink. If you use a straw, push the straw towards the bottom of the glass (without touching the bottom) and drink.

2. Hold the liquid on your tongue for three to five seconds. Do not push it to the roof of your mouth. Letting the liquid warm up some before swallowing helps prevent brain freeze.

3. Swallow the drink. Continue drinking until you finish.

Margarita Over Ice

4. Wrap your hand around the underside of the glass. Lift it slowly to your mouth. If you want to also drink some of the salt, rotate the glass so the salt on the rim will touch your mouth.

5. Tilt the glass into your mouth slowly. Moving too fast can cause the drink to spill or the ice to slosh forward and hit your teeth.

6. Swallow the drink.
