Make A Large Hydrangea Bridal Bouquet

Hydrangeas are a great choice for bridal bouquets.

When love is in the air, you should also smell the aroma of fresh flowers. If you are planning a wedding but are having some difficulty in choosing the wedding colors, choose the flowers first, then coordinate from there. You can make a super easy bridal bouquet by using fresh hydrangea flowers.

Instructions

1. Choose the hydrangeas. Fresh hydrangea flowers come in blue, purple, pink, or white, and the color is determined by the acidity in the soil in which the flowers were grown. For a bridal bouquet, it is best to choose one or two colors of hydrangea flowers.

2. Choose greenery. To make your hydrangea bouquet even more exquisite, add your choice of an English ivy, needle point ivy or perhaps a few feathery fern leaves.

3. Add filler flowers. To add a "pop" of color to your hydrangea bouquet (especially if you are planning a spring or summer wedding), add only two or three small flowers of color. Perhaps a few yellow, white or red rose buds, or even a calla lily or two would give your hydrangea bouquet that splash of color that would render it unforgettable.

4. Tie your beautiful bridal bouquet together using 4 rubber bands. Strategically place one rubber band at the top of the stems, just under the base of the flowers. Place the remaining rubber bands two fingers' length apart. The last rubber band should be at the bottom of your bouquet, leaving at least a half inch of stem at the bottom. Cover stems and exposed rubber bands with a sturdy layer of floral tape. If your stems are visible, complete the bouquet by tying a ribbon around the stems.

5. Make a replica. If you want a keepsake from your wedding, create a replica of your hydrangea bouquet by using silk flowers.
